Aluminum Wheel Polishing, Repair & Finishing

Polished Wheels

Polished Wheels

Typically, most wheels / rims are made from aluminum & come in all shapes, sizes & styles.

Depending on how the wheels have been maintained,  if they have been acid bathed, or are badly pitted, oxidized, curb rash, will determine what procedures we will need to take to restore your wheels to new again.

Chrome plated wheels have to be stripped & re dipped, if the chrome is bubbling, flaking etc. If the wheel is just dirty & lost a little of its shine, we may have some tricks to help you restore them back to new..

Scroll through our pics here to see some before & afters of various styles of wheels & let us show you some differences & what we can do for your wheels.

Sometimes, an aluminum wheel can get so badly damaged that you have to grind the surface, then sand & polish. As you can imagine, it’s a lot of work & time consuming. Typically start to finish on a wheel like this can be 1.5 – 2hrs

Caliper Painting

Caliper Painting

While the wheels are off, it’s a great time to check the brakes & clean up a few parts in this area. Painting the calipers & edges etc is purely cosmetic & not necessary, however, painted is easier to maintain, & reflects nicely on polished wheels

AJ’s Detailing will wash & prep the pieces to be painted, prime them, paint them & then reassemble the wheel.
